Atal Pension Yojana is a government-backed pension scheme in India targeted at the unorganised sector. It is a new initiative which was announced by the Finance Minister in his budget speech. The main idea of this scheme is to provide a definite pension to all Indians.
Eligibility : Atal Pension Yojana (APY) is open to all bank account holders who are not members of any statutory social security scheme.
Age of joining : The minimum age of joining APY is 18 years and maximum age is 40 years. One needs to contribute till one attains 60 years of age.
Premium of APY can be paid through 3 options
Monthly
Quarterly
Half Yearly
